Going crazy over the new home arrivals at H&M! Just scooped up these glass candle holders, fingers crossed they make it here in one piece!

Owning a home has been such a fun journey, however I am continuously making a list of projects I want to start or pieces I want to acquire. Recently I have been drawn to the look of natural cane and light wood. It still has an airy feel and isn’t the commitment of a dark, heavy wood piece or the opposite, a stark white piece. I purchased this credenza for my guest bedroom and absolutely love it. Now if only I could find a place for the chair below. And what a fabulous bar the armoire would make!

It’s no secret Target has been on top of the home game for a while now. When the Opalhouse collection was released I couldn’t wait to get a closer look. More pieces from the line have continued to be introduced and the accent chairs have my eye. How fabulous is the cane back chair? Thinking I may need two.
Now that I own my own house entertaining has been top of mind; especially since the longer days of summer are officially here. Aerin Lauder is back at it again with Williams Sonoma adding even more amazing pieces to her everyday collection. The wine bucket is first on my list – just the perfect piece to chill your summer rose.
The one thing I’ve been dreaming of these last few years, has finally happened – I’m a HOMEOWNER! I found the perfect place in the neighborhood I wanted to be in and am now the proud owner of my OWN home!
Let the decorating commence! I am taking it slow, for multiple reasons, but mainly because I want everything that comes into my new home to be thoughtful, special and full of meaning. I moved in with no living room furniture and have begun to fill the space with several pieces I have had my eye on for years.

It’s no surprise that I love a perfectly styled bookcase. I use books all throughout my house to create height, balance and to fill my shelves with inspirational titles. I just scooped up two new books recently {thanks Amazon} and have a few more on my wish list. Looking for a gift? A beautiful coffee table books is always a good idea! Shop my favorites below.
My local West Elm and Juley {of Upperlyne} hosted the greatest Etsy Pop-Up shop a few weeks back. I had the best time browsing local vendors and even picked up a few things. I scooped up a small original piece from Markette and absolutely love her work. The perfect addition to any gallery wall and the prints {and cards} make great gifts!
