Screen Shots

I keep a pretty organized iPhone, a place for every app, file and folder. And all my folders are lined at the top of the screen so I can see my photo background – YES pretty OCD I know. Everyday I find myself taking more and more screenshots of things that inspire me, items want to buy and places I want to try. There is nothing more annoying then trying to find something online that you can’t remember where you saw it. I have several folders within my photos that I save these screen shots to for future use. Folders such as; travel, places to eat, to buy, art…  you get the idea. Here are a few of my recent favorites.

Winter Whites

Life has been a little stressful lately to say the least, and I’ve been looking forward to getting back to my blogging routine.

I watch the Today Show just about every morning and the recurring weather theme for the Northeast is snow and more snow, record-breaking in some places! The winter, white, wonderland looks so beautiful from a far and has me inspired. I scooped up some white roses recently and even have been reaching for my white jeans.  I know our friends in the Northeast are ready for the snow to end, but from where it’s sunny and 70 degrees, it sure is pretty!

So Blue

I have to admit, I’ve been a little un-inspired lately, hence the lack of blogging. I’m blaming it on the HOT weather, the type of heat that makes you want to stay inside all day, makes even running errands unbearable. This time of year is always a little weird, the summer is ending, yet fall seems SO far away. And in the back of my mind I know the weather won’t be cool enough for fall clothes until October, at the earliest. When I find myself in an inspiration slump I turn to my own pins on Pinterest. It’s fun to go back and see what I pinned over the last few years. And what’s funny is my pins seem to have common themes. One thing I’m loving lately is blue and white, and apparently so is my Pinterest page.

insta love

Lets face it, I’m a social media junkie. I love being able to follow all my favorite people and brands and having custom news feed at my finger tips. Instagram has to be my favorite. I love the constant photo stream and all the creative people I have come across on the platform. Below are a few of my favs!

First up Donald “Drawbertson”, a suburban dad making waves with his fashion forward and creative approach to art {think duct tape and cereal boxes}. Second, a long time fav, Amber Venz Box, the most fashionable girl on the internet. Thirdly, Teil Duncan Art. I would have never known about Teil, if it wasn’t for instagram. I am in LOVE with her beaches! Lastly, Eva Chen, the Editor in Chief at Lucky Magazine. I’ve been following her since the beginning and love the way she shares her daily shoe and handbag pics {just look up #evachenpose}. Who are some of your favorites on instagram?

house dreams

My apartment doesn’t really have much room for new additions or improvements {it’s a small rental after all}, but I can say this ladies-only bungalow, featured on Domaine, is what house dreams are made of. I’m booking marking these photos, with hopes of a future space to use this inspiration. From the yellow lamps, to fuzzy bedroom benches and the clean feel of it all, I love it! And of course the dog too!

apple inspired

A few weeks back one of my daily reads {Green Wedding Shoes}, featured my best girlfriend and her new husband in such a fun inspiration post. I was honored to stand in their wedding and just love this shoot they took part in a few months after their actual big day. I especially love that she was able to re-wear her beautiful wedding dress, not to mention, work with several amazing New Orleans vendors. How much fun is this fall shoot? And the apples mixed in with the flowers, just love!  For more pictures check out Green Wedding Shoes and Mrs. Vintage Rentals.
