You never know what you will notice when you walk around New Orleans, this alligator museum is just down the street, and I’m so intrigued as to what is inside. We took these pictures while shooting the Langford Market City Guide, and these jeans are my absolute fav. Now, I wouldn’t call them a Lucky Girl Find {they are pricey} but I’m 5’11” and they are extremely long and oh so soft, so for me they are worth the investment.

This time of year I feel like I have two extremes when it comes to dressing, super casual for running errands, baking and gift wrapping and fun and glamorous for holiday parties and cocktails. I posted these new jeans on instagram last week, and after wearing them, I have to share this fab find. Lately my jeans and I have not gotten along, too tight, too big, too dark, too light, I can’t seem to find anything that works within my current selection. I scooped this pair up from Old Navy, mainly because they actually fit. And after wearing them, I think I may have to snag a few more pairs. If I had it my way every summer evening would be spent like this {if only work didn’t get in the way}. The last beach trip I went on we took several long walks on the beach with camera in hand, of course. My sister and I had too much fun! I couldn’t help but capture my summer uniform as of late; super soft denim shorts {I LOVE these} and stripes on top. This particular occasion called for my favorite beach find, a super inexpensive hat from Saks Off 5th.

I have coffee table books all throughout my house {seen here}, I find myself picking them up occasionally as a place to look for inspiration. Don’t get me wrong, I go to Pinterest more often than not, but there is just something I love about flipping the pages of a hard cover book. I came across this beautiful book {the cover image is just perfection} and was instantly inspired.

The weather around here has been a little crazy! And by crazy, I mean WAY to warm for this time of year. It’s hard to get in the holiday spirit when you are pulling out your shorts, instead of your scarves. Lately I have tried my best to “winterize” my looks, while still keeping cool in these warm temps.
